(1996) Brassed off is classed as a musical romance. The film is based on the workers of a northern english coal mine, where some workers have formed a brass band. But as the mine closes what will happen to the keen brass players. This film is a delight to watch, it's the kind of film you would watch, while relaxing under a duvet on a late saturday night. The film is an amazement to the ears becuase of the relaxing and spine tingling music your ears have ever heard. This film involves actors such as Ewan Mcgregor, and music such as "Danny Boy" and "The Cross of Honor". Brassed Off was nominated in 1997 for three Baftas including, Best Screenplay. Overall this film is not quite an all time classic but it's certainly a film to have a good name and history. Critic score; 7/10 Viewer score; 7.3/10 |
